Terms of Use

APPLE STANDARD EULA · September 15, 2026

1. App licence

IOU is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). That agreement governs your licence to use the app, including its scope, restrictions, warranties and liability. Enlightened Innovations LLC is the application provider.

This page provides information about IOU and links to its related policies; it does not replace or amend Apple’s standard EULA.

2. A record of shared money

IOU is a record-keeping tool. It is not a payment service, lender, escrow agent, debt collector, accountant, or tax or legal adviser.

No money moves through IOU. It records what you tell it is owed, and you settle however you already do. A balance is your record of an arrangement; we do not verify or enforce debts and are not a party to your arrangements with other people.

3. Your entries and receipts

Your entries, receipts and attachments remain yours. Record and share only information you are entitled to use. Keep a backup of anything you need to retain.

Online receipt scanning is optional and requires your permission. Selected receipt photos are sent through Cloudflare to Anthropic for automated reading, including any personal information visible in them. See the Privacy Policy for consent controls, data processing and retention.

4. Check receipt results

Automated receipt reading can get items, tax, tip or totals wrong. Check and correct the results before saving or using them to settle up. Scanning requires an available online service and is subject to abuse-prevention limits.

6. Privacy and deletion

Read the Privacy Policy for how IOU handles information and the Data Deletion Request page for removing local data, managing iCloud copies and contacting us about records we control.

7. Contact
